Advanced Food Industries was found in 1992 and dealt mainly in products like spices and desserts and the brand name "Abu Ali Spices". AFI also deals in packing and distributing Basmati Rice imported from India and Pakistan. It has been in this field for more than 6 years, giving rise to Basmati rice brands like "Kernel" and "Sophia".
Along with the Egyptian and Basmati rice, The company also deals in producing desserts as Om Ali, a well known Egyptian dessert, and hot drinks like Sahlab.
