afrocollections ltd as a non profit organisation since we were operating on a not for profit basis, we got so successful with all our operations of weaving baskets, mats and other crafts. After achieving most of our goals we grew in confidence. In 2000 afrocollections ltd ceased to exist and was replaced by the private company afrocollections ltd. Some of the staff remained, while others were empowered to start their own businesses. The core objectives of the old organisation remained the same. We remain dedicated to these objectives. (Click on our Profile to learn more) I still run afrocollections ltd today with the same aim of assisting the disadvantaged members of society by working with them on producing of the hand crafted products, promoting their products, marketing and general training. This is evident as most of the producers are people with disabilities (PWD) , widows, orphans and people living with HIV. I am a counsellor for people living with HIV so by the virtue of this precision I mobilise these people into production teams.
