We are a co-operative society of small rice farmers that has as objective to develop our brand offering a high quality product. Founded in 1969, our headquarter is located in Jacinto Machado city, south of Santa Catarina State, Brazil. We have recently inaugurated a new rice processing plant with over 110. 000m2 in Santo Antonio da Patrulha city, Rio Grande do Sul state, where we select the best quality of rice, control the process continuously that composes of cleaning, hulling, milling, polishing, grading, sorting, and storage. Offering to our customers highest quality white and parboiled rice. The origin and quality of our products are directly linked to the role that our co-operative society plays for its 930 members, 245 employees, their families and community. We have agriculture engineers and technicians that are responsible for helping and monitoring the farmers with the development and implementation of projects, crop development, managing courses and training to ensure the adoption of appropriate practices to improve productivity and rice cultivation in an effective and sustainable way. For the past six consecutive years, we are the co-operative society that receives and processes the highest quantity of rice in the state of Santa Catarina. Our work is recognized through awards and certificates; some of those certificates and awards include "TOP BGA 2008" (Stock Exchange-RJ) an award for the best cereal industry in Brazil in 2008 and being amongst the top 10 co-operatives professionally managed. In 2009 our production will be of approximately 3 million sacks, with projection to double within the next 3 years. Our goal is to continue increasing development, searching for new technologies to meet the demands of the market and our customers. We are a well established name in Brazil and abroad, we export best quality of long grain parboiled rice to European and African countries and are searching for new costumers for our product.
