The Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) is an Agro Indusrial Company created in 1947 as a public establishment to acquire, develop and operate extensive plantations of tropical crops.As at 1st January 2005 the Corporation had 43,413 ha planted out to v3 major cash crops, out of a total of 98,000 Ha of land concessions from the Government and a work force totaling 10,000 including seasonal workers or workers on short term contracts.Currently CDC grows mainly Rubber, Oil Palm, Banana and some minor crops such as coconut. It operates 9 Rubber Estates , 7 Oil Palm Estates 6 Rubber Factories and 2 Palm Oil Mills The Banana Projects are now run in partnership with DELMONTE Cameroon.This major Crop Groups are support by serveral services including Medical, Technical, Transport, Sales, Supplies and a main Head Office. The Head Office services include the General Managers Office, Human Resources, Finance, Managment Control, Plan & Development, Communications, Information Systems, Audit, Industrial Safety and Security departments.
