CSR Meishan Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. (former CSR Meishan Rolling Stock Works established in 1966) is a national key enterprise specially engaged in developing, manufacturing and exporting various types of railway freight cars and brakes used for railway locomotives, passenger cars and freight cars. With over 4,900 employees and an area of 1.06 million square meters, our company has an annual production capacity of 6,500 units of railway freight cars in different types and 35,000 sets of various brakes for locomotives, passenger cars and freight cars. Our company possesses more than 2000 sets of various advanced-equipment imported from the United States, Britain, Germany and Japan, which enable our company to have the capability in manufacturing of freight cars or brakes and other machinery/equipment. Our company has more than 1400 engineers and managing staff members including 130 senior technical and managing members. We own advanced "CAD" working station, and the general design, strength analysis and structure optimization are finished by the computer. Our products such as type 120 brakes were awarded with "the state science & technology progress prize", the type 104 brakes and type C62A (N) open top cars were awarded with "the state silver prize". Our company keeps on expanding our production and enhancing our productive capabilities. We have produced over fifty types of railway cars such as open top cars, covered cars, hopper cars, general purpose flat cars, tank cars, self-damping cars, various types of bogies, and over twenty types of special components including brakes for locomotives, passenger cars, and freight cars as well as oil dampers. Meanwhile, we also design and manufacture various special purposed cars for industrial and mining enterprises. Our company have manufactured over 100,000 various freight cars and over 300,000sets of brakes. 29 items of new-products has filled the gaps in Chinese rolling stock industry. Our main products had won the title of "state fine products". In the fierce competitive international and domestic market, our company developed and manufactured various freight wagons with different track gauge over ten countries for Asia, Africa, America, and Oceania. Up to now, the total quantity of exported cars is about 3,700 units ,and is the No.1 enterprise in China for the exportation of railway freight cars in terms of quantity and amount. We have passed the certification of ISO 9001 quality system and also gained independent import & export right and the right of conducting foreign economic and technical cooperation in 1997. we also attained ISO14001 certification in 2001 and OHSAS18001 OHSMS Certification in 2003.
