China Coal Overseas Development Co., Ltd. (CODCO), a state-owned coal enterprise, is a subsidiary of both China National Coal Group Corp. (ChinaCoal) and China National Coal Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. (CME). CODCO is responsible for export of products made by subsidiaries of CME and other Chinese manufacturers, and is engaged in international projects of coal mine design & plan, shaft sinking, mine construction, equipment erection, technical training, after-sales service and the supply of spare parts. CODCO has exported a number of installations of longwall equipment to a number of countries such as India (6 packages), Turkey (2 packages) and Russia (3 packages). We have completed large shaft sinking projects in Morocco and Turkey respectively. CODCO has received more than 800 people from different countries in different levels, coal ministers in the top level and coal miners from grass roots level, for mine site visits, technical exchanges and training. Through the employment, we have made great progress and achievements in China's coal industry during the last decades. CODCO is an assigned project executor under Sino-India Joint Working Group Meeting on Coal at vice-minister level. By providing total solutions for underground coal mining, CODCO has become the first choice for customers in coal mining industry both at home and abroad. CODCO is the only exporter of complete fully-mechanized longwall equipment in China with more than 20 years' experiences and expertise. CODCO is capable of supplying high-quality miners' cap lamps, chemical oxygen self-rescuers, truck-mounted cranes, high tensile chains, roadheaders, motors, drilling equipment, hydraulic props, hydraulic hoses, training in mining technology & equipment, organization of coal mine site visit, and technical exchange as per customers' typical requirement as well as other services with reasonable prices. With strong capital, and technology back-up from both CME and ChinaCoal, CODCO is contracting EPC/Turnkey projects of coal and power industry from geological exploration, design, construction, supplying complete installation of equipment, erection, commissioning and testing to operation management.
