Tire Production China National Tyre & Rubber Guilin Co., Ltd. has 3 large factories that produce a wide range of tires under TORCH brand, including heavy truck tire, commercial truck tire, bus tire, earthmover tire, OTR tire (off-the-road tire), industrial tire and farm tractor tire. In 2009, a new TBR project is being constructed to expand and complete TORCH lines and the designed capacity will reach 3,000,000 pcs of TBR tire (truck & bus radial tire). Milestones In 1965, we were established in Guilin, China. In 1988, we started to produce 36.00-51-58PR under the Giant OTR Tire Development Project, supported by Chinese Government. This tire was the biggest tire made in China. In 1990, we exported OTR tires to Canada and other countries. In 2006, we expanded the product lines of giant OTR tires with rim diameters ranging from 35" to 63", launching the new projects for developing radial OTR tires. In 2007, the first giant all-steel radial OTR tire made in China, a 36.00R51 with overall diameter of 3230mm were made by us, which was suitable for large-scale dump trucks of 170 tons. In 2009, more sizes of Torch radial OTR tires were available including 40.00R57, 37.00R57, 33.00R51, and 30.00R51. Radial Tire Project was start-up in this year. The project, with a total investment of RMB 3.1 billions, covering approximately an area of 120 hectares (297 acres), consists of three sub-projects, namely: TBR project, OTR project and PCR project. The first stage of the project is the TBR project with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million sets of tires. The TBR project will be completed within 24 months per schedule, but it is expected that it will be completed in 18 months.
