CPPM-Processing Introduction Fresh-mined coal is cleaned, sized and tested before it is sent to market by CPPM and Navigated. The process begins at the company's preparation plants in Indonesia, Kalimantan, Riau and Palembang, one of the most morden and effcient in the antracite, lignite and bituminous industry. After crushing, sizing and rock separation, the coal moves to the top of the breaker and through a series of screens and washing operations that separate it into the ten sizes that are standard in the industry. Each size is then conveyed to its own area for final cleaning. A solution of magnetite and water permits the anthracite to flot free while impurities sink to the bottom of large drums.
