We are a manufacturer and exporter of leather garments and upholstery products. Established in 1975 by Shane in Taiwan, Hangzhou Huatong Furniture Group Inc also has a subsidiary (Cosie Leather) fully owned by Shayne for supplying comfortable leather products. In late 1988, when it began to shift the production base to Hangzhou, Shayne was already a major exporter of leather garments in Taiwan area to the American and European markets. Over the last 17 years, as its first mainland factory consisting of 3 production lines, Cosie Leather has witnessed substantial growth and expansion. Today, Cosie has more than 4,000 employees working under the supervision of 10 Taiwan technicians in our garments, upholstery and tanning divisions, all of which serve exclusively for the international market. The garments division is currently running 44 production lines equipped with state-of-the-art Japanese machinery, which yield an annual production of 1,200,000 pieces of leather garments with a turnover of USD 40,000,000 Cosie's upholstery division, launched in operation in 1994 with 40 production lines today, is manufacturing 160,000 seats of cowhide and 80,000 seats of fabrics upholstery, with monthly turnover exceeding USD80,000,000 Cosie has also incorporated 3 tanneries, of which the first one is located in Tongxiang County, Zhejiang and is specialized in tanning lamb skins imported from the United Kingdom, France, and Australia with capacity of 800,000sf monthly. The second one is in Quzhou, Zhejiang set up in 1997, specialized in the supply of cow hides for upholstery leather, with monthly production capacity of 5,000,000sf. Raw hides are mostly imported from Australia, the United States, and Brazil, and some are local Chinese hides. The third one is a pig skin tannery in Maode, Shandong Province, with monthly production capacity of 1,000,000sf for suede. Most chemicals are imported from Germany and Italy to achieve same touch, appearance and softness as the contemporary Italian leather, but cost 10% lower than the world market price. In May 2002, Cosie launched a project with 210,000 square feet facility to produce finished upholstery of both leather and fabrics. Our output capacity is 100 containers each week or 5,000 containers each year. With low cost, high efficiency and quality conscious work force, Cosie offers great products and service with tremendous value to all the customers. On December 20, 2005, we broke the ground for new facilities for upholstery production, targeting additional 900 containers monthly or 10,000 containers each year. The new facilities include: 1) 2 upholstery assembly plants of total 420,000sf 2) 1 wood frame plant of 110,000sf 3) 1 new foam plant of 150,000sf 4) 1 warehouse of 230,000sf 5) 1 paint finishing line (for show-wood) of 50,000sf The production started in June 2006, focusing on medium to high end of upholstery with wide leather and fabrics selection, detailed tailoring, sophisticated frame and craftsmanship.
