The idea to start the Casey Welchs Beef Jerky Company started in 2001 when Mr. Casey Welch came to Nicaragua to serve as a small business development adviser for the United States Peace Corps. He quickly learned that Nicaragua was famed throughout Central America for the quality and quantity of beef production. Nicaraguan beef trails just behind Argentina and Brazil in production and quality. After serving for more than 30 months volunteering throughout the region, the time had come to implement the idea of beef jerky production. The Casey Welchs Beef Jerky Company finally opened their doors to the public in 2005. The company has grown, not only in sales, but by creating jobs and contributing to the development of the general population.
