Immediately to the rear of the land(visiblein one of the photographs) is a jungle covered limestone outcrop which is of great religious significance to the local people and which contains a number of grottoes in which are to be found votive offerings and religious figures. The main grotto, which is particularly venerated, contains a beautiful shrine with three golden coloured buddha images, and behind the grotto is a cave which is a roosting site for large numbers of bats. Nearby is a small group of religious buildings. On the North side of the land is a large coconut plantation, to the south and south west, beyond the creek, is a mixture of coconut palms, scrub vegetation and open land with small scale farming. A small fishing village is located about 1 km. To the south. The access road leading westwards from the land to highway 4 winds through plantations of pineapples and shady coconut palms, interspersed with quiet villages and serene buddhist temples. There are some small guest houses and bungalow resorts in the vicinity, but otherwise this area of Thailand remains untouched by mass tourism and retains much of its traditional picturesque charm.
