Mastagard is a New Zealand owned recycling and waste collection provider, we have been operating in the South Island for over 30 years. Mastagard operates from two 21,000 ft facilities in Bromley, Christchurch where we process over 30,000 metric tonnes of recoverables per year. This is recovered waste that would otherwise have been sent to the local landfill.We operate a full fleet of specialist recycling and waste trucks and employ over 60 staff, we service over 10,000 businesses and households from Haast to Hokitika to Christchurch. Mastagard is a leading innovator in the recycling and waste industry. In 2008 Mastagard was appointed by Westland District Council as the Landfill and Transfer station operator to some of New Zealands most sensitive World Heritage Parks and National Heritage Areas. We pride ourselves on being leads in recycling solutions, not simply rubbish collectors. All of the recyclables are transported from Westland to our Christchurch plant, were they are sorted and recycled. Some of the areas that we collect from are Fox Glacier, Franz Josef, Kumara, Whataroa, Haast and Hokitika. We are also working with the Westland District Council to transform the local Landfill at Hokitika into a transfer station.
