Somewhere around 2003 we started making our lures, after tying for another company. We decided to try something different, after much research and talking to alot of other people about what they liked and disliked about other rigs similar to ours, we came up with an incredible fishing lure. The first thing anyone noted about other rigs was the short length. So we went with an overall length of about 24 inches. Then came the "bleeding bait" look, the red hooks. The real challenge was finding a different blade, everyone has used colorado, and willow leaf blades, then we found the "dakota blades". Yes, i know now we are not the only ones using them, but there are very few. We decided to go with a size 4 blade, and a folded clevis. Now the beads, what can we do different? Three pearl beads first, to give a little extra flash and resemble the centerline of a small shiner. For the rest depending on blade color we use orange or chartreuse beads to finish it off. Now came the true test, are these things going to catch fish? Let's just say, we have tried tons of lures on this one lake we fish most of the time, and we have caught three to four time more fish since we started using these lures. I started making them for friends and they loved them. They started catching more fish! So we decided to make them to share with everyone. Believe me, these lures do work. The most common way we use them is drifting with three or four split shots just above where the rig attaches to the line. For deeper water or slow trolling a bottom bouncer works really well. Soon to come, we will be adding more colors, and styles. Plus, some accessories.
