According to the strength of concrete or solid masonry, diameter of anchor bolts and depth of embedment, the pull out load will be modified.2. DrillThe holding power of any anchors is directly related to the diameter of the embedment hole. Therefore, it is important to use the right size of embedment hole. Larger or smaller size will cause unexpected results. The drill carbide bits must be of the correct diameter for respective anchor hole. In general, carbide bits conforming to the following will produce acceptable hole diameters.3. The general rule of installation and requirements for mechanically expanded anchors are as the followings:(1) Concrete intension must reach 250kg/cm2.(2) Cement block must dry at least 28 days.(3) Two times anchor embedment between spacing(4) If vibration or impact is applied, spacing should be increased.(5) A safe working load should not exceed 25-30% in max stated values.
