Original Juan Specialty Foods has accomplished much in its short history. In less than a decade the company has earned more than 250 awards for its business success, corporate citizenship and the delicious gourmet food produced. Now fully functional in a new 60, 000 square foot corporate office, warehouse and production facility, Original Juan is poised for its next wave of growth. In the first decade Original Juan earned such honors as ICIC Top 100 Award; in 2005 we were rated 31st and in 2006 the 95th fastest growing business in the inner city, we are also involved in the Helzberg mentoring program and named one of the fastest growing Kansas City based businesses in a local magazine. Original Juan produces more than 150 products across 10 brands and distributes them throughout the United States and exports worldwide to countries as distant and diverse as Japan, Iceland, Norway, UK, Germany, Korea and New Zealand. As a growing company, Original Juan takes pride in its accomplishments and look forward to the challenge of building even greater success in its second decade and beyond. In our new home we house our corporate office, warehouse and production facilities. Our production facility has grown from a single production line to two fully automated lines; a system designed for efficiency to keep costs down and flexibility to enable quick response to our customer requests. With eight kettles ranging in size from 80 gallons to 300 gallons allows Original Juan to maintain its Micro-Batch approach yet service customers both large and small; with the flexibility to handle a wide variety of packaging types and sizes. Our production department is HAACP approved with a rigid quality control practice that consistently exceeds FDA standards and has achieved a certificate from Kansas State University of sanitation and good manufacturing practices. In our modern test kitchen where all the magic happens the 10 gallon kettle is perfect for making recipe adjustments to batches to make them just right. Here a fulltime chef balances time between working with customers on their recipes and experimenting with herbs and spices from around the world searching for the next big flavor sensation. In 2007 we introduced six new products to our mix consistent with our history of adding innovative products.
