We have strived to create a truly health counscious soap with your skin type in mind. Our colors are subdued, earthy, and natural, and we use only herbs and spices. As you bathe, take time to breathe in deeply the essential oils put into each bar. Natural vegetable soap is a quality product, leaving in the natural glycerin created during saponificiation. Commercial soaps remove this skin conditioner to make cosmetics and lotions. Then many add in a detergent(petroleum based) for the lather and cheaper cost. Tallow(or animal fat) is typically used in commercial soap for cost savings and ease of milling. Tallow may block the skin's natural breathing system. We use only vegetable oils to make the soap. It keeps the skin's internal mositure from evaporating too quickly. This alows the skin to release waste and absorb a fresh suply of external moisture. We use saponified olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, and/or soybean vegetable shortening as our base. Then we blend in selected herbs pure essential oils and nutrient oil such as jojoba oil, shea butter or cocoa butter. Vitamin e is added as it is a natural preservtive and has skin-healing properties of its own. We have kept the soaps simple and tasteful. They are poured in frames, cut by hand. We feel the hand-cut imperfections lend to their beauty. Even our wrapping is simple anhd evironmental friendly. Our soaps have been curing for about 5-8 weeks. They may continue to dry and harden even more. Our soaps should be kept out of plastic wrappers that keep them from breathing and will break down a natural product. We hope you will apreciate our herbal soaps as much as we enjoyed making them. Keeep in mind these soaps are not a cure but may aid your skin as described! Allergic reaction may occur with some people, even with natural products. If concerned test a small amount on forearm.
