ShinSong specialises in the manufacture of thermally reactive coatings for specific types of paper, inkJet paper and synthetic film substrates. Established in 1987, in order to develop and sell the copy machine toner, ShinSong soon recognised that thermal printing had significant advantages over more traditional printing methods. Thermal printhing quickly proved itself to be a far more reliable, quieter, lower cost and cleaner process with faster printing speeds. These features encouraged ShinSong to develop its own unique thermal coating process for the production of direct thermal products, in Korea. As the company continues to grow, it has concentrated its research and development effort on refining current products and developing innovative solutions for its many customers. The product range has expanded in line with increasing use of electronic tracking systems that rely solely upon the use of computerrised barcode labels for recording and collecting point-of-sale (POS) data.
