Shirley's Creative Designs is an Internet-based doll related clothes manufacturing business conducting business primarily over the internet, the phone, and through the United States mail it was created to serve the expanding market of soft toy dolls and collector dolls with quality doll clothes and has expanded to include cloth dolls, doll purses, soft animals and soft toys. Shirley's Creative Designs was started by accident 17 years ago while visiting a Doll Show in Fairfield, California. Shirley met a lady who wanted clothes for her porcelain dolls. While doing research to come up with a price for the projects, she acquired a second customer. Soon the company, Shirley's Creative Designs was born. The owner had no idea that there was such a fantastic market for original doll fashion designs, drafted patterns with instructions, sewed doll clothes, and cloth dolls. As the years passed, the designing of doll fashions, drafting of patterns, manufacturing of collector doll fashions just came naturally to Shirley Rash, the founder and company owner. Early in 1994, Shirley's Creative Designs switched from completing projects for just local individuals and small doll suppliers, to accepting projects for doll manufacturing companies and in the summer of 1997 designing and manufacturing cloth dolls was added to its list of products. In 2003 the company added soft toys and animals. The owner is often found at her machines diligently cutting and sewing her projects or designing and drafting patterns for her designs or the requirements for a customer's designs. Now her customers include individuals, hobbyists, doll stores, doll companies, gift shops, doll manufacturers, and others with a similar need.
