Toyrolla Spares is owned and operated by Bill Tijan and Tony Lacarruba, Toyrolla Spares has been in operation since 1988. As a growing business, we are forever expanding and improving in order to remain competitive. Our ability to keep our customers satisfied keeps us at the forefront in our industry. Over the years the business has expanded and now occupies 8 times the warehouse and yard space as when it was first established, even now we are still looking to further expand our warehouse and yard space by a further 2 3 acres. In the early years of Toyrolla Spares, we initially started out in the purchasing of vehicles from auctions for dismantling and reselling to local Victorian market place. About 3 years in to the business we expanded into the vehicle body repair industry, this venture was only short lived and replaced with the further expansion of our spare parts division which by this time was now on a national level. Our local selling was also further enhanced when we ventured to Japan to start purchasing late model vehicle parts for import in to Australia. The years following involved further expansion to our staff, equipment, warehouse and yard space. Our first international export was in 1996, since then we have exported over one thousand eight hundred 20 foot and 40 foot containers to various countries around the world. In 2004 we created a partnership with a Company in Malaysia; this partnership still runs strong to this day with healthy monthly sales to locals in Malaysia and other foreign purchasers in Malaysia. Between our local sales in Australia and Malaysia and our sales to all foreign clients within Australia or Malaysia, we have a very healthy business. Also to further add to our healthy resale market, our monthly steel output of 500 Metric Tonne and engine scrap output of 380 Metric Tonne per month allows our business to expand in leaps and bounds. An example of this is our recent addition to the company of a vehicle compactor and a second truck capable of carrying 6 vehicles as opposed to our older truck that is only capable of carrying 3 vehicles. Toyrolla holds an LMCT license and is also highly regarded by the Auto Parts Recyclers Association of Australia. Operationally APRAA has granted Toyrolla a 5 Star rating for its methodical and systematic approach in dismantling end of life vehicles.
