YL FISHING CORP

YL Fishing Corporation was originally organized on September 04, 1989. The Articles of Incorporation and By-laws were filed with and approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission on that date. Commercial operations formally started in 1990. The business was then registered with the city office of the Department of trade and Industry as a domestic corporation operating under the business name YL FISH TRADING CORPORATION. Victor R. Yap was designated as company president while brother Jaime R. Yap became the vice-president and general manager. The main office of the corporation is located at Lot 2, Dumagsa Road, Talisayan, Zamboanga City. This office houses the administration, finance staff and wharf. The company owns a warehouse building and lot at Talon Talon, also in Zamboanga City. The same building houses the tool shop and supply depot of the company. The company also rents another warehouse suited at Rojo Compound. All warehouses are utilized for storage of stocks / produce, i. e. dried fish. The corporation deals in primarily in the wholesaling of an array of fresh and dried fish. Sales is done via fish brokers and other fish trading firms located in different parts of the country. The company also occasionally exports other aquamarine products like agar-agar. At the present time, Aside from land, buildings and fishing vessels, the company also owns a multitude of fishing boat equipment, communications equipment and other machinery. It also owns 50 motor vehicles including a number of motorcycles a wing van, and crushers for the transporting and crushing of ice.
