UraPen is an American company, designing & creating unique, American made writing utensils that make perfect gifts. We were founded on principals of quality & integrity in the global marketplace-a philosophy that too many American businesses have sacrificed for the sake of higher profits. Urapen believes that true product quality can only be arrived at through diligent communication and attention to detail. We will not risk damaging our reputation of quality for the sake of saving a few dollars. Our designer, April Slatton is a former public school teacher who's always been a lover and collector of writing utensils. So passionate in fact, that she became frustrated at the lack of good writing instruments suitable for gift giving. After years of frustrating searches for a brand that fit her personality and met her high standards of quality & craftsmanship, she took it upon herself to design a writing instrument to fit her needs. Her hobby developed into a skill that no one has been able to duplcate. These hand crafted personalized gifts were what she gave away to eager friends and family members, and all too often someone would tell her that she should sell them. . . UraPen is located in the Tampa Bay, Florida area of the United States, and has been in operation since June, 2007.
