Diutan gum is an acidic polysaccharide with a repeating unit of tetrasaccharide skeleton similar to gellan gum, but the side chains are two α-L-rhamnosyl groups which are bound by β- (1-3)
bonds Linked to 4-O-substituted beta-D-glucose, and the structure also contains 7% acetyl (O-acetyl). This high-viscosity polymers is specifically designed for the gypsum cementitious materials and
oilfield drilling fluids where have high fluidity requirement providing high viscosity with small dosage. At the same time the viscosity is not affected when temperature changes.
