PROFILE

CHEMIOSIL 116 is a silane-based high concentration aqueous microemulsion to be diluted with water before use. This treatment on various types of floors, raises the surface tension and therefore limits the migration (sometimes excessive) of hygroscopic salts to the surface with unsightly dark marks (oxidation).

INTENDED USE

CHEMIOSIL 116 is used after installing, but before grouting, floors in cotto and natural stone which feature high porosity. CHEMIOSIL 116 diluted correctly is used as a pre-treatment with the advantage of facilitating the grouting process for the layer, as well as removing residues of grout from the surface, simplifying and speeding up the initial cleaning operations.

INSTRUCTIONS

Shake well before use. Always use at temperatures above +5°C.

Dilute CHEMIOSIL 116 (for example 1l + 9-12 l of water, possibly demineralised), mix for one minute, the solution is ready. To apply use a flat brush, a fleece or low pressure pump (sprayer). On not particularly porous floors, after having sprayed the product on the floor (a few square metres at a time) we recommend wiping the surface with a fleece or cotton cloth, evening out the application. Let it dry. After 12-24 hours, the product shows its water repellent action. The layer can therefore proceed with grouting, using the same procedures and reducing the amount of water normally used on the floor. Always run some test applications before applying it to the definitive surfaces.

PROPERTIES

DILUTION: Mix 1 litre of product in 9-12 litres of water.

DRYING/WALKABLE: after 2 hours.

TIME OF REACTION: 12 hours.

YIELD: Approximately with 1 litre of previously diluted solution, 6-16 sqm/l per coat.

HOW TO CLEAN EQUIPMENT: Wash with water.

STORAGE: Closed in the original packaging, in a cool place, away from frost and UV rays, it retains its properties for at least one year.
