Red Clover, also known as Trifolium pratense, according to Wikipedia, is an herbaceous, short-lived perennial plant, variable in size, growing to 20–80 cm tall. Red clover has many other names,
such as purple clover, trifolium, sweet clover, cow clover,etc. Red clover is a source of many valuable nutrients including calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, and
vitamin C. Red clover is also considered to be one of the richest sources of isoflavones (water-soluble chemicals that act like estrogens and are found in many plants).
