Scope of application

ASTM A691 standard for high temperature, high pressure steel pipe, from several chemical composition, strength grade and pressure vessel quality steel plate, with the addition of filler metal melting welding. In order to obtain the desired performance or to meet the requirements of the application specification, no heat treatment may be required.

ASTM A691standard is generally applicable to the outer diameter of not less than 16in (405mm) and wall thickness greater than equal to 1 / 4in (6.4mm) of the steel pipe.
