Efficiently collect and concentrate light emitted from a lamp and separate usable light(cold light) from IR (Hot ) light.
Ellipsoidal reflectors have two conjugate foci. When a light source is placed at the focal point at that end, all rays of the light that strike the reflector will be diverted through the second focal
point. The result is that an enormous percentage of the light from the source is directed in a manner that makes it easily usable. These reflectors are coated with dichroic cold coatings which
reflect visible light and transmitted IR light.
The applications are including: Cinema projectors, stage lighting, digital/PC camera, medical instrument, overhead projectors, lighting etc.
