High-quality API Standard Junk Basket for Well Drilling

Junk Basket is a fishing tool which use the drilling fluid partly reverse in the bottom hole, to latch small junk in the basket. It is used for fishing all types of small junk, objects in well bores, such as bit cones, cutting blades and hand tools, etc. There are two types: ITOC Junk Basket and Reverse Circulation Junk Basket.

The tool consists of a top sub, barrel assembly, catcher, and shoe. The barrel assembly consists of an inner and outer barrel, valve seat, cup, and ball. A lift sub is also provided to assist in handling.

Make up the junk basket to the bottom of the string and run into the hole. When the tool is approximately 10 feet from the bottom of the hole, the ball is dropped down the drill pipe. The ball will position itself in the ball seat and reverse circulation will begin. Circulate and begin coring. Combined with the reverse circulation, this guarantees that any junk on the bottom is pumped into the barrel and caught by the catcher assembly. The tool is removed from the hole after cutting 10 to 20 inches of core.

(1) . A lifting sub is provided for ease of handling which includes a storage space for the steel ball used in the operation of the tool.

(2) . A single junk catcher is used in each assembly.

(3) . ICTO Junk Basket may be easily converted to a fishing magnet by replacing the catchers with magnet insert.

(4) . Alternate mill shoe available are Type B and Type C.
