OVERVIEW OF ALUZINC STEEL COIL
Also known as galvalume or aluzinc coated steel, zinc coated steel coil is a form of coil coated galvanized steel with metal coating composed of 55% aluminum, 43% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. Its unique
composition gives aluzinc steel some distinctive features by the combination of the physical protection and high durability of aluminum and the electrochemical protection of zinc.
FEATURES OF ALUZINC STEEL COIL
1
Superior long term corrosion resistance allows alu zinc steel coils to outperform galvanized coating by 2 to 6 times
2
The density of 55% aluminum is smaller than that of zinc. With the same weight and thickness of the plating layer, the area of the galvalume steel sheet is 3% or larger than that of a galvanized
steel sheet.

DETAILS OF ALUZINC STEEL SHEET
The surface of aluzinc steel sheet has a characteristic smooth, flat and gorgeous starburst, with a base color of silvery white. The special plating structure makes it have excellent corrosion
resistance. Aluzinc steel sheet has a normal service life of 25a and is heat resistant and can be used in high temperature environments up to 315°C. The coating has good adhesion to the paint film
and has good processing properties for stamping, shearing, welding, etc. The surface conductivity is very good.
The coating composition is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon by weight. The production process of aluzinc steel sheet is similar to that of galvanized steel and aluminized
steel, which is a continuous melt coating process. 55% Al-Zn alloy coated Al-Zn steel has superior corrosion resistance compared to galvanized steel of the same thickness when both sides are
exposed to the same environment. 55% Al-Zn alloy coated Al-Zn steel not only has good corrosion resistance, but also has excellent adhesion and flexibility of color coated products.
FEATURES OF ALUZINC STEEL SHEET
1. Heat reflectivity
The heat reflectivity of galvanized steel is very high, twice as high as that of galvanized steel, and people often use it as a heat insulation material.
2. Heat resistance
Aluzinc steel has good heat resistance and can withstand temperatures of over 300 degrees Celsius, similar to the high-temperature oxidation resistance of aluminized steel, and is often used in
chimney pipes, ovens, luminaries and fluorescent light covers.
3. Corrosion resistance
The corrosion resistance of aluminized zinc steel coils is mainly due to the aluminum, which is protective. When the zinc is subjected to wear, the aluminum forms a dense layer of aluminum oxide,
preventing further corrosion of the interior by corrosion-resistant materials.
4. Economy
Because the density of 55% AL-Zn is less than that of Zn, the area of zinc aluminized steel is more than 3% larger than that of galvanized steel with the same weight and thickness of the plating.
5. Easy to paint
Excellent adhesion between zinc aluminized sheet and paint, no pre-treatment and weathering treatment is needed for painting.
The coating adhesion of the gold-plated layer of Alu-Zn steel sheet is excellent, so it can be directly coated on advertising and general use panels without pre-treatment such as Weathering.
6. Galvanized steel sheet has a gorgeous silver-white surface.
7. Zinc aluminized steel sheet has similar processing and coating properties to galvanized steel sheet.
ALUZINC VS GALVANIZED STEEL
Aluminized steel plate is coated with a layer of pure aluminum or aluminum-silicon alloy containing 5% to 10% silicon on the surface of carbon steel. The methods of aluminizing are: hot plating
method, electrophoresis method and vacuum evaporation plating method, among which hot plating method is the most widely used. Aluminized steel plate has good resistance to high temperature
oxidation, and does not change color for a long time at 450℃, and the maximum use temperature can reach 750℃. There is also good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, especially the corrosion of
SO2, H2S, CO2 and other gases. Corrosion resistance is 3~6 times of galvanized steel sheet, mainly used for exhaust system of automobile, heat-resistant apparatus, beverage cans, etc.
Galvanized steel sheets are welded steel sheets with a hot-dipped or electro-galvanized layer on the surface, and are generally used widely in construction, home appliances, vehicles and ships,
container manufacturing, electromechanical industries, etc.
Galvanized steel sheets are divided into ordinary electrolytic sheets and fingerprint-resistant electrolytic sheets. The fingerprint resistant plate is a fingerprint resistant treatment added to
the ordinary electrolytic plate, which can resist sweat and is generally used for parts without any treatment, the grade is SECC-N. The ordinary electrolytic plate is also divided into phosphate
plate and passivation plate, phosphate is more commonly used, the grade is SECC-P, commonly known as p material. Passivation plate has the difference between oiled and unoiled.
APPLICATION OF ALUZINC STEEL SHEET
Construction: Roofs, walls, garages, soundproof walls, ducts, modular houses, etc.
Automobile: muffler, exhaust pipe, wiper attachment, fuel tank, truck box, etc.
Home appliance: refrigerator backsheet, gas oven, air conditioner, electronic microwave oven, LCD bezel, CRT explosion-proof belt, LED backlight, electrical cabinet, etc. Agriculture: pig house,
chicken house, grain bin, greenhouse with pipes, etc.
Others: heat break insulation cover, heat exchanger, dryer, water warmer, etc.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALUZINC STEEL COILS AND ZINC COATED STEEL COIL
The difference between aluzinc steel coils and zinc coated steel coil lies mainly in the difference of the coating. The surface of zinc coated steel coil is evenly distributed with a layer of zinc
material, which plays the role of anodic protection for the base material, that is to say, the alternative corrosion of zinc material protects the use of the base material, and only when all the
zinc is corroded can the base material inside be harmed.
The surface coating of the aluzinc china steel coils is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc and a small amount of other elements, and the surface of the aluminized zinc coating is microscopically
a honeycomb structure, with zinc contained in the "honeycomb" made of aluminum. On the one hand, the anodic protection is greatly reduced because the zinc material is not easily electrolyzed by
aluminum. Therefore, once the aluminized zinc plate is cut, it will rust quickly when the cut edge is basically unprotected, so the aluminized zinc plate should be cut as little as possible and the
edge should be protected by rust-proof paint or zinc-rich paint once it is cut.
DESCRIPTION OF ZINC COATED STEEL COIL
Zinc coated steel coil, a thin steel sheet that is dipped into a molten zinc bath to adhere a layer of zinc to its surface. It is mainly produced by the continuous galvanizing process, in which
rolls of steel sheet are continuously dipped into a bath of molten zinc to make galvanized china special steel sheet; alloyed galvanized steel sheet. This steel sheet is also manufactured by the
hot dipping method, but immediately after leaving the bath, it is heated to about 500°C to produce an alloyed coating of zinc and iron. This type of galvanized coil has good paint adhesion and
weldability.
