Brass ingots are made of thick copper (99% copper content) as anodes, and brass ingots as cathodes for sulfuric acid. (H2SO4) and copper sulfate (CuSO4) as electrolytes. When energized, the brass ingot dissolves from the anode into copper ions (Cu) that reach the cathode.
