Frishine supplies a wide range of galvanized barbed wires for temporary enclosures, property boundaries, and security fencing.
Materials and Styles
We provide high quality barbed wire, available in hot-dipped galvanized, electric galvanized, and PVC coated finishes. Made from Q195 steel, our barbed wire has two strands and four-point barbs. With barb spacing of 3 to 6 inches and a tolerance of ±1/2 inch.
Wire Gauge and Process
- Traditional Twisted Style:
Traditional twisted barb wire has two strands of wire twisted together with barbs inserted at intervals. Used for most perimeter fencing uses. - Positive/Straight Twisted Style:
Straight twisted barbed wire, is made with the wires twisted in a straight alignment, creating a uniform and neat appearance. - Reverse/Negative Twisted Style:
The reverse or negative twisted style involves alternating the direction of the twist at regular intervals. This barbed wire enhances the fence’s physical strength and visual deterrent, ideal for high-security fences.
Customized Specifications
- Adjustable Barb Spacing:
Barb spacing from 3 to 6 inches, for a range of security applications. Less barb spacing for enhanced security areas, wider spacings for general boundary fencing. - Wire Gauge Customization:
Common wire gauges include:
12.5 Gauge: Ideal for general-purpose fencing, offering a balance between flexibility and strength.
14 Gauge: Provides a lighter, more economical option while still maintaining adequate durability.
16 Gauge: Suitable for areas requiring finer, less intrusive fencing solutions without compromising security. - Flexible Roll Lengths:
For various projects and minimize waste, Frishine offers galvanized barbed wire in customizable roll lengths.
Commonly requested lengths include:
1320 feet (400 meters): Standard length for extensive perimeter fencing.
165 feet (50 meters): Suitable for smaller sections or repairs.
Custom Lengths: ensuring precise coverage and cost-efficiency.12 gauge barbed wire:

Barbed Wire with Temporary Site Fencing
Case study: Using of barbed wire into a temporary site fencing solution for perimeter security for a construction site. The fencing system combines welded mesh temporary fence panels with barbed wire, supported by robust line posts, and stabilized with struts. This system provides a high level of perimeter security against unauthorized access while maintaining flexibility for temporary installation.
- Welded Mesh Temporary Fence Panels:
Size: 11 gauge (0.120″ or 3.0mm) galvanized iron (GI) welded mesh panels. Welded mesh panels reinforced with vertical flat bars, 15mm wide by 5.0mm thick, placed at intervals of 75mm (±2%), ensuring strength and durability. The mesh dimensions 76.2mm x 12.70mm, with panels measuring 2.80 meters in height and 2.91 meters in width. Each panel features 3D bending at three points to provide additional rigidity and resistance against breaching. - Barbed Wire Specifications:
Atop the mesh panels, double stranded barbed wire with two strands of 12.5 gauge (0.098″ or 2.50mm) GI wire is installed, quality conforming to ASTM A121 or ASTM A641, Class III standards for Galvanized barbed wire. This barbed wire adding an extra layer of security fencing top. - Support Posts and Installation:
The fencing system is supported by line posts, corner posts, end posts, and pull posts made from pipe with a diameter of 88.90mm and SCH. 80 wall thickness (7.62mm), ASTM A53 standards. These posts extend 2.70 meters above ground, with an additional 1.0 meter buried for stability, and are topped with a 0.45 meter Y crank to support the barbed wire. Posts are spaced at 3.0 meter intervals. Struts made from 60.30mm diameter. 40 pipe, with a wall thickness of 3.91mm, are installed every 3 meters to provide lateral support to the posts. All steel components are hot-dip galvanized according to ASTM A123 to prevent corrosion.
This combination of welded mesh panels and barbed wire creates a temporary security fencing solution ideal for perimeter control. The use of high-quality materials and producing according to international standards, ensure the fencing system for specific needs of our clients.
