General
Insulator is the most widely used basic components in high voltage transmission and distribution power system, it is use for
isolation of live part. Composite insulator is use epoxy rod and rubber sheds external insulation polymer composite
insulators. Compare with traditional ceramic and glass insulators, it is more lighter(only about 1/4 to 1/8 of traditional
insulator), higher strength(10 times higher than high-strength porcelain insulator), less clearing(anti-water). And it also
overcome the short life problem of conventional polymer materials, the life will be several decades. It is the new product in
power system.
