1. Energy saving: the lighting efficiency of LED is up to 130lm/w, but the theoretical value of development can be 250lm/w. While the high pressure sodium lamp luminous efficiency is increased with higher power. therefore, the overall efficiency of LED street light is higher than high pressure sodium lamp. With actual installation and lighting effects, LED street lights can save energy up to 60% if replace relevant HPS.
2. High CRI: color rendering index of LED street lamp light is much higher than that of high pressure sodium lamp. CRI of LED street light can reach 80, high pressure sodium lamp is only about 25, from the point of view of visual psychology, to achieve the same brightness, illumination of HPS should be 3 times higher than LED street lights, that means illumination of 1W LED is equal to 3W HPS. But in fact, the road looks brighter, more comfortable, the driver also feel more secure in the lighting of LED street lights.
