Vanillin - properties

Ethyl vanillin is white or light yellow needle or crystalline powder, soluble in water of 125 times, 20 times the ethylene glycol and 2 times of 95% ethanol, soluble in chloroform and spices. Vanillin is the first essential human synthesis, by the German M Haarman with Dr. G, Dr. Twyman synthesized successfully in 1874.
