Reinforced gabion, also called heavy hexagonal reinforced, adds a parallel reinforced steel wire when twisted. There is
a reinforced steel wire every two grids. Reinforced wire diameter usually equals the diameter of an edge wire. For this reason, its tensile strength and impact strength is superior to common
hexagonal gabion.
Reinforced gabion is mainly applied to roadbed for its better performance of resistance to shock and traverse load and adaptability. It can absorbs tensile stress and reduces the crack rate caused
by traffic.
Besides application in underground structure, reinforced gabion can be used as gabion wall, either upright wall or stepped wall. There is no bulging for its excellent inflexibility. Naturally
permeable help groundwater discharge and ensure long-term stability of the constructions.
