Gabion Mattress

Gabion mattress is flat-shaped after assembly. It has longer length and lower height than gabion basket. This shape is ideal for protecting riverbed and river slopes where gabion basket fails.

Gabion mattress is manufactured by woven or welded gabions. They are filled with rocks and stones on the spot to form a monolithic and flexible construction. They are used for bank and scour protection, channel linings for preventing soil loss and embankment stability.
