Chemical name: N,N-methylene-bi(2-amino-5-thiol-1,3,4-thiadiazole)
Toxicity: Low toxicity, oral(technical grade)LD50:3160-8250mg/kg, and the TLm(96hours) of carps is 500ppm.
Physical and chemical properties: 1) The pure product is a white long columnar crystal or light yellow loose powder 2) Melting point is 189 - 191°C 3) Soluble in many organic solvents such as 2-methyl-formamide, 2-methyl vanadous, pyridine, ethyl and methanol, but it is hard to dissolve in water, the original material is a light brown powder with stable chemical property.
Characteristics: A systemic fungicide, having preventive and curative effects, effective for 10-15 days.
Application: For the treatment of bacterial leaf spots of early, semi-late and late rice(also for the treatment of bacterial striped disease).
Mode of action: Bismerthiazol can induct the receptor rice producing the resistance function to leaf blight, strengthen the extent of lipid peroxidation, stimulate the O-2 production of rice in vivo, prevent blight bacteria invade o-2. Bismerthiazol can also act directly on bacterial blight strains, inhibit cell growth, showing treatment function.
