Metal Shim

Shim is used as spacer to fill small gaps or spaces between objects. It supports and adjusts parts for better fit and level surface.

Etching shims are designed for precision assemblies which need light gauge sheets. Photo etching or chemical etching will produce no burrs and extra stress which will deform the sheet. Frequent materials used to make shims or spacers are aluminum, steel and stainless steel.
