Painting on leaves

Our leaf vein picture is a traditional art and craft processed from Huang Jue tree leaves, the city tree of Chongqing. Its made by removing green succulent layer to retain white pulp layer then painting on it, which texture is light, flexible, bright, clean and transparent meanwhile color is durable. This craft obtained national patent (Patent No.: ZL200410040824 8).  The product has won the first prizes in Chongqing municipality and national craft exhibition, moreover, the 2007 year top ten Chinese innovative products and the Western China souvenirs, arts and crafts and collections competition, etc. Central TV channel 2, 4 and 7 respectively made a special report and on June 20, 2009, Happy China Travel program selected it as VIP gift.

At last, dry the leaf veins again. After all above, veins can be painted or printed.

Then, the leaf veins are put into boiled water for 3 hours, thus the veins can be kept permanently. After that, dry the leaf veins in a natural condition and special glue is painted onto the veins.

First, we put the leaves into water long time and in a suitable temperature to ferment the leaves. The leafpulp is easy to be removed after ferment.
