Loess hot water mat (for floor)
Characteristic features
1) Safety
The difference from other companies' no-motor products is that the hot water does not go directly into the mat but is transferred temporarily to an auxiliary tank, during which the water inside the
mat is, by means of vacuum inside the heater tank, sucked smoothly into where the hot water is emptied. The direct inflow of hot water may result in danger of explosion due to foreign
materials inside the hose or the boiler or due to circulatory disturbances.
There have actually been such explosion accidents; because the principle of our technology (vacuum suction method), on the contrary, is to draw water from inside the mat, the machine comes to a
stop when there is any failure inside the hose or the boiler. Thus, any part will not be exposed to overload.
2) Low claim rate for after services
Motor-type products that take the majority of existing hot water mats tend to generate vibration and noises that disturb sleep and to produce a small quantity of electromagnetic waves. A small
amount of such electromagnetic waves travels with water inside the mat, where they are detected.
Above all things, because a motor is wholly or in part in contact with hot water, it is eventually burnt out by the combinative factors of its continuously generated inner heat and outer hot water
and is forced to come to full stop. Consequently, poor, unsound companies go bankrupt, and all the damage is forcibly attributed to consumers.
The price of an electric mat is said to be relatively high compared to its cost; however, consumers are likely to be deluded by uncertified products offered at dumping prices. In the end, they
fall prey to such products that do not carry any warranty of after services. Since Samwon Onspa's hot water mats function without motor, users do not need to worry about problems originating from
submersible motors against which claims for after services are the highest in existing hot water mats.
3) First domestic mat that is possible to wash with water
A wide range of products enables users to divide into two groups: those who used to sleep on bed and those who used to sleep on the floor; thus products are classified into bed type (for bed),
floor type (for floor), and living room (for living room floor) to serve such purposes.
Since a bed mat is only a little thicker than that of a bed pad, it is adequately possible to be washed in a 10 kg household washing machine.
The mat can retain its original form because there are no electric elements inside it and its patented hose-laying method (patent no. 10-0755466) ensures prevention of the deviation of the hose
when being washed; however, be sure to wash the mat in a protective net in the washing machine. Whenever it gets dirty, it just can be washed to keep clean for comfortable sleep.
4) Application of a health principle Keeping the head cool and the feet warm'
Existing motor type mat displays little difference between top and bottom temperatures. Since the hose winds along about 30 meters inside the mat, it takes the hot water about 2~3 minutes to
flow from beginning to end. Therefore, if 80oC water enters the mat, it would drop to about 60~65oC when it reaches the top of the mat that is close to the head.
It would be better for health when the temperature at the top side where the head is supposed to lie is lower than the temperature at the bottom side where the feet are supposed to
lie. Temperatures inside the mat are naturally divided into three stages. The temperature of the water flowing again into the mat after circulation is about 90~95oC. However, it does not
feel that hot because it is not the mat surface temperature but the water temperature.
After water enters the bottom area (feet and calves), it begins to flow to the middle part (waist area) and further upward to the top side (chest, shoulder, and neck), while temperature continues
to fall. There are about 5~6oC difference among three areas, which means the feet are usually kept warm while the areas close to the head can maintain a sufficient deviation of
temperature.
5) Differentiated production and quality management system
All products must undergo strict inspection procedures consisting of 5 stages including initial incoming material inspection, stage by stage process inspections, and final total inspection before
they are packed. We are challenging zero defects out of faith, at the thought that our parents and our family use the products, and out of a sense of duty that we are responsible for the
health of Korean people.
The reality in the Korean hot water mat industry is that most of the boilers and mats are produced by different manufacturers and assembled by another. At Samwon Onspa, boilers are produced at
the first factory and mats are manufactured at the second factory. Our logistics system is perfectly unified. You can say our best strength lies in the production capacity very responsive
to any kind of problems related to mats and boilers as well as to modified designs.
