This gave cause to Nedap's development of the BiblioLoXS system.BiblioLoXS is an intelligent locker system for libraries which enables borrowers to collect reserved books or CDs without assistance from the library staff. Borrowers who have reserved books, for example by telephone or via the Internet, can collect their books from a locker. The lockers can be opened with a variety of RF cards (such as a national library card or Mifare card) and barcode cards, as well as with a PIN.
