Year 2004, Art Asia was created as a response to the great popularity of Sankheda Furnitures in North America. People used to import in individual shipments, paying in advance and waiting for 3 4 months, unreliable agents, hidden cost of shipping and custom hassles, they used to end up paying huge and that too for no customer service.

The proprietor Mr. Acharya who used to design refrigeration & air-conditioning units in Canada decided to change his engineering career and went on to promote this beautiful art of hand-painted furnitures & carvings of Sankheda & India in to North America.
