Quartersawn Oak Islands & Benches

This firstpiece goes along with a large traditional kitchen. The client wanted this piece to be seen as a
piece of furniture more then your basic kitchen island. It's made of quartered white oak with walnut dowels. The legs
are 3" thick as well as the breadboard style top which is used as a butcher block.
In the mudroom next to the kitchen the two benches are nestled below a cabinet. They were created to
mimic the lines in the island.

The second oak island went with another kitchen from the same archirect and featured a limestone
granite top and a nook for stools. Solid bookmatched legs.
