Optical quartz crystals

synthetic crystals of optical quartz are on a par with best natural optical equivalents; they have etching channels up to 100 units per cm3 and no irregularities. This crystal variety is extensively used in manufacturing of optoelectronic converters in photo and video equipment, OLPF. It has been demonstrated that one 1.5-kg crystal of optic quartz yields approximately 2000 optical filters for digital cameras. Using special-purpose screens in synthesis of optical quartz makes it possible to produce crystals for all intents and purposes without inclusions. As a result, the quality of crystals is 200 times better than that of the equivalents made by other producers that manufacture premium quality products under international standard IEC 758, too. In addition to the IEC 758 standard, the enterprise uses in-house methods for artificial quartz crystal quality assurance. These include sample checking of UV light transmittance, one-hundred-percent screening of optical irregularities, and polarized light inspection for stresses.
