075 Gold Fresko Buddha art

This book of  plates with illustrations of the sculptures, respectively was replenished by pictures of the sculptures, since in the meantime the sculptures had been stolen (sold).

On 12th of October 2002, when a suicide bomb detonated Bali and tore 202 people into death among them over  85 Australians Pedro was motivated to publish another book with the title Amor and Amok in Bali. Amor referring to a love story that coincidentally took place at the same time of the catastrophe. Amok as a synonym to the catastrophe it self (runner amuck).

When Pedro opened a restaurant in August 2004, it was obviously named The Flying Piano. The first investment to it was an outstanding secondhand Yamaha Grand Piano from Tokyo.

In Bali Pedro, as the musician (piano) and author to the Flying Piano, developed a third dimension to it. In the nineties a total of 12 sculptures were born (6 large-sized and 6 miniatures).

The Flying Piano made of wood (Garuda), bamboo and iron were exhibited in public in the Hilton Hotel Nusa Dua in 1995. It was a succesful attempt to achieve a combination of music and language into a three dimensional shape of the same themes. Thus begins the phase of visual shapes.

The saver of the day is symbolized by a small barn-owl in a park of a psychiatric clinic, which spreads out its veil to enable a save landing to the falling wing (grand piano). This marks the beginning of a love story. A dialogue evolves between music and language a language of fairy tale. In the morning the wing (grand piano) has disappeared. On its wings it made its journey to the east to Indonesia, to Bali.

The Flying Piano representing a musical fairy tale- was published by Pedro as a Swiss citizen end of 1993. The image of the Flying Piano has similarities to the flying carpet as we know it in the arabian fairy tales. In the following musical fairy tale, its as if the Flying Piano plays the role as a hero. On one side he appears as a musician, a singer, a stringend instrument in the evening skies of Thurgau a flying object, that however has explicit landing prohibition on Swiss territory.a persona non grata!
