Much like my windspinners, these are simply larger agaves with flowering stalks that function as the wind spinner. It generates motion to an otherwise stationary plant.
FLOWERING AGAVES - MODIFIED WIND SPINNERS
rather whimsical idea. Plant them out in the garden alongside your "real" plants or put them in a container and use them either inside or out. Unlike normal garden plants they never
need water and are definitely frost and heat resistant.
Agaves typically have three layers of 4-5 leaves each. They are approximately 12" high. Usually, only the outer two layers of leaves are patinaed while the inner layer is raw copper. They typically
have a seed stalk rising out of the center of the plant approximately 15-18".
Sunflowers are very similar in concept to agaves. They typically are 30" or so high and approximately 25" wide depending on the number of stalks. The sunflowers are raw copper or painted while the
leaves are patinized green or painted a similar color.
