Product Details
This tumi has a hollow shaft with cut outs for shell inlays. On the top, a recumbent feline rests on its side with its paws clasping each other. Felines were animals of prestige and it is known that Inca rulers kept them as pets, at least until they became ferile. There are very few tumis with intact inlays. One is illustrated in Mufareche (1999: #74 and another with its inlay missing, #76).
