Handmade traditional Buryatian knife

The knife is new, made in 2008. It has an unique art style, coming from the Era when Mongolia was famous with its Warriors.This type of knife was a part of Mongolian Warrior's gear.
Only traditiaonal materials and tools were used when making of this knife.The shape and quality of the knife are identical to old ones.
This knife is practical multipurpose working tool and can also serve as partof hunter's ammunition, but the best place for it is inside of the collection of knives.
This product was designed and made by masters, living in Russian Siberia, from local materials and with traditional quality standards.

Overall length of the knife - 33,0 cm (13,0")
Length when sheathed - 39,5 cm (15,6")
Blade length - 18,0 cm (7,1")
Blade width - 2,2 cm (0,9")
Blade thickness in the middle of the blade - 0,5 cm (0,2")
Bladeis made from stainless steel and hardened up to Rc 57-58 by heating itin a fire and hammering it (forging) and further buffing of the blade.
Handle of the knife and sheath are wooden (lacewood) and both decorated with silver and Old Red Coral.

Handmade knife is the art work of the master from Buryatia who make knives with the use of traditional technique and design.
