Our Fregatten Jylland model ship measures 39" long x 26.5" tall x 11" wide and is handcrafted from beautiful woods such as rosewood, mahogany, teak, and various other exotic woods. The hull is constructed using the plank on frame method, each strip of exotic wood is carefully join to bulkheads to form a smooth hull. This model is completely hand built to scale by skillful and creative master craftsmen. You will be amazed at how real it looks. The Fregatten Jylland model ship is painted in three colors. On the ship, you will spot amazing details on these components; wooden bowsprit, foremast, mainmast, and mizzen mast. They are all connected with rigging that are painstakingly fastened by hand in matching colors. On the main deck, you can spot a large wooden tower tied down with chains, a wooden lifeboat, and a white wooden bridge with metal railings. On the quarter deck, theres a navigational area with metal steering wheels and a wooden cabin. The beakdeck and the quarter deck are surrounded with metal railings. You can easily spot a row of metal cannons on the side of the hull, and large metal anchors hanging just above the waterline. Theres also a wooden rudder and a metal propeller to help the ship maneuver. An attached wooden stand with a nameplate engraved Fregatten Jylland 1860 is standard on this model. Our Fregatten Jylland ship model was built according to scale through original plans, pictures and drawings. We use absolutely no plastic parts; only the highest quality wood and metal parts are used to build our models. This model is carefully secured and packed inside a wooden crate for shipping purposes.
