Born In Yogyakarta, 1932. He studied at the Indonesian Fine Art Academy (ASRI), Yogyakarta and Jan Van Eyck Academy in Maastric, The Nederlands. He participated in several exhibitions In Indonesia and overseas, i.e.: Poland, India, Japan, Norway, Singapore, Canada, Philippine and Thailand. He awarded several awards from the Indonesian Government and some of his sculptures were installed in several parks and plazas abroad. From 1958 1964, he taught at ASRI, Yogyakarta and lectured at The Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) afterwards.
