3-D Sculpted Reliefs

Framing and Borders
All of our 3-D Sculpted Reliefs are framed or made with a border. If the overall finish size of the piece of Corian? is 36 x 36, we call this overall shape the Blank. The actual 3-D portion of the image will be within that 36 x 36 piece which is called the Image size. Typically on a 3-D Sculpted Relief that large we would put a 2 border all the way around. This would make the Image size 32 x 32. The smallest amount of border allowable on any size relief is 1.

Materials

3-D Sculpted Reliefs can be produced from a handful of different materials depending on the application and design. Certain materials, such as Corian?, are used because when in direct sunlight, they are UV stable. Other materials, such as Cherrywood, might be used because it matches pre-existing design elements. A list of materials we can process 3-D Sculpted Reliefs out of are MDF, hardwoods, polyurethane foam, and Corian?. Other materials are being currently tested.
